MILLIE's Story
Hi! My name is Millie and I am available for adoption. I was brought to RASKC on March 16, 2026 with two of my newborn kittens. I quickly went to a wonderful foster home for a little extra TLC. Now that my kittens are older and can be on their own it is my time to find my forever family! My foster says this about me, Meet Millie, a beautiful and soft girl who is very shy. She does love to hiss, but she does not bite or scratch. Indeed, she will tolerate being scratched on the face or chin while she is hissing! She will actually purr and do elevator butt with persistent soft stroking of her back. She tolerates dogs, even approaches them, and only hisses at other cats. She will need to go to a home where she can be denied hidey holes, except for a few pretend ones. Provide her with a shallow hidey hole, one that a human can reach into and give her attention. If you get her cornered she will eventually sit NEXT to you and purr. She does NOT want to be carried or held. Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home without younger children (fast movements and loud noises startle me). When I go to my new home it is important to be patient with me and allow me time to acclimate to my new environment at my own speed. It is best to keep me in a smaller, quiet room, with my food, bed, and litterbox until I am comfortable and confident enough to start exploring the rest of my home. I am a medium-haired cat which will require frequent grooming, please keep that in mind! I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032. Come and visit me today, I'd love to go home with you!
