Miller's Story

There’s so much to say about Miller. He came to us via a delivery driver who got to know him and knew the garage was closing soon and the owner had no place for Miller to go. He was covered in grease, his short hair so full of grease mats with so much grease in his ears it took multiple cleanings to get it out. His coat was dingy and the white was gray. He’s squeaky clean and so happy now. He was named Miller for the only toys he had, miller moths that he loved to chase in the garage lights. We think that’s why he loves the toy shown in the video. His foster mom says: “Miller is a big-hearted boy with an even bigger story and now he’s ready for his happily ever after. After spending years living at a mechanic shop, Miller entered foster care needing a little “tune-up.” And what a transformation he’s had! With dental care, a much-needed grooming, several baths that he loved so much he would get into the tub on his own and lots of love, this 17-pound snuggle bug is feeling better than ever. He may be missing a few teeth, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit, he eats just fine and carries on like a champ. In fact, his slightly sticking-out tongue (thanks to those missing teeth) just adds to his irresistible charm. Once covered in grease and mats, Miller now has the softest, brightest white coat and he loves being brushed. Grooming time is one of his favorite bonding moments, right up there with cuddling. And now that he’s feeling good? His playful side is shining through! Miller loves chasing his butterfly toy, batting around balls, and getting into the action with wand toys. But his absolute favorite thing in the world is you . He will happily hop into your arms, tuck his head under your chin, and melt into the coziest snuggles. Miller has done well with the resident cats in his foster home and met the big, cat friendly resident dog with a calm, easygoing confidence. But fair warning, those big, loving eyes of his will completely steal your focus. Productivity may drop, but your heart will be very full. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who’s ready to trade his past for a future full of love, Miller is your guy. He’s fully vetted, had a dental and is 9yrs old.<br/>Miller is now settling in the EAPL Cat Adoption Center located at Chow Down Evergreen.
