Miley's Story

Miley came to us with her mom, Holly, and her brother, Noah. She is a sweet but shy girl who can be a little cautious when first approached and will need some time and patience to fully come out of her shell.
Don't let her awkward first impression fool you, though! Once Miley is picked up, she starts purring-and sometimes she'll even start purring just because you look at her! Underneath that shy exterior is a sweet little girl who is learning that people can be pretty great.
With a patient family willing to give her time to settle in and build her confidence, we think Miley will blossom into a wonderful companion.
Miley has received 2 of her 3 FVRCP vaccinations, dewormer, and a microchip. Her spay will be scheduled at the time of adoption. All adopted cats spayed/neutered through ECHS will receive an eartip.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
