While he has overcome so much, he does have some lasting medical challenges from his illness and needs an adopter who understands that caring for him will require extra commitment.<br/><br/>Mikey occasionally loses patches of fur, and he sometimes struggles with bladder and bowel control. He may leak urine or have episodes of loose stool, but hes an easygoing boy who tolerates wearing a diaper when needed without complaint.<br/><br/>Because of his medical history, Mikey will likely need ongoing veterinary care, regular checkups, and medications to help keep him comfortable and healthy. He isnt the kind of cat who will have a completely carefree medical future, but he deserves a chance at a loving home just as much as any other cat.<br/><br/>What Mikey needs most is someone with patience, compassion, and a willingness to embrace him exactly as he is. We cannot hold our cats for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within three days of applying.<br/><br/>Adoption Fee Includes:<br/>Spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccines, SNAP test, dewormer, flea/tick prevention, and general wellness care.<br/><br/>Please note: Foster-to-adopt homes must be within 30 miles of Lemont and use one of our partnered vets. We do not adopt out of state until the cat is fully vetted.
