Mikey & Minou's Story

Meet Mikey & Minou — A Bond That Deserves a Second Chance

Mikey and Minou are two brothers who have been through a lot. They came to us about a month ago after their beloved owner passed away, and suddenly these two boys found themselves in a completely unfamiliar place, trying to navigate the loss of the person they knew and loved.

For the first few weeks, they were so overwhelmed and confused that they spent almost all day hiding under their blankets. They were grieving, scared, and simply weren't sure what was happening to them.

But we're finally seeing little glimpses of the boys underneath all that sadness. They're beginning to come out from under their blankets, explore their surroundings, and show us that they're ready to start moving forward.

Mikey and Minou are approximately 6 years old and are definitely two BIG boys! In fact, Mikey holds the shelter record at a whopping 26 pounds! Their weight isn't just a funny fact — it's something their future family will need to take seriously. They're currently on a weight-control diet, but they'll also need a family committed to helping them become healthier through regular play and exercise.

These boys don't need a perfect home. They need a patient home that understands they've experienced a huge loss and will give them the time they need to feel safe again. Once they settle in, we're confident we'll get to see much more of their personalities.

Mikey & Minou are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
Approximately 6 years old
Currently working on a healthy weight
Will need a family committed to exercise and weight management
Patient, understanding home required
No dogs

If you have room in your heart for two sweet brothers who are learning how to trust and love again, Mikey and Minou are waiting for you. They may need some time to come out of their shells, but we're hoping their next home will be the one where they can finally feel safe, loved, and at home again.

Mikey & Minou are ready for their second chance — together.
