It became her way of accepting the love she so desperately wanted while still feeling safe.<br/><br/>So we waited. We gave her time. We respected her boundaries. We let her come around at her own pace.<br/><br/>And slowly, over many months, Mikala began to trust us.<br/><br/>Now she happily accepts pets from our hands. šŸ„¹šŸ’œ<br/><br/>For Mikala, this isn't a small thing. This is a HUGE milestone.<br/><br/>And she has blossomed in other ways, too.<br/><br/>Today, Mikala is the welcomer of our catio room. When someone walks in, she gets up and comes to the front of her catio to say hello.
