Meet Miguelito!<br/><br/>For nine years, Miguelito knew the comfort of a home and the love of his person. Then, in January, his world changed.<br/><br/>After his owner passed away, Miguelito spent the next five months living in a kennel with a kind neighbor who did their best to care for him while hoping someone would step in. When he arrived at our rescue in June, he was understandably scared, unsure, and head shy. We don't know everything he's been through—we only know that he needed time, patience, and someone willing to let him heal at his own pace.<br/><br/>Once Miguelito realized he was safe, his true personality began to shine. Today, he's a wonderfully affectionate, talkative boy with plenty to say—especially around mealtime! He'll happily chat with you while you prepare his food, then settle in for pets and reward you with the sweetest rumbling purrs. When the excitement of the day is over, Miguelito is perfectly content to curl up on the couch beside you, enjoying the quiet comfort of simply being together.<br/><br/>Miguelito isn't looking for someone to rescue him—he's looking for someone to love him. Someone who understands that trust is a gift, and that sometimes the sweetest companions are the ones who have experienced loss and found the courage to love again.<br/><br/>After everything he's been through, Miguelito deserves more than another temporary stop.
