But considering where she started, they’re enormous.

Michelin is still a shy girl. She isn’t going to be the cat who marches up to a stranger and immediately climbs into their lap. She needs time to observe, settle in, and decide for herself that she’s safe.

But now we know something very important:
Give Michelin that time, and she WILL begin to trust you.

Her foster home has given us a glimpse of just how much potential this beautiful girl has when she’s allowed to move at her own pace.

Michelin’s ideal forever home would be calm and patient, with someone who understands that trust isn’t always instantaneous. Based on how well she has done as the only pet in her current foster home, we think she would especially thrive in a quieter environment where she can form a strong bond with her person. A home without very young children would be best; respectful children around 8+ could be a good fit.

Michelin isn’t looking for someone to “fix” her.
She’s looking for someone willing to give her the same things her foster has given her: time, consistency, kindness, and the chance to feel safe.

And in return, you’ll get to experience something incredibly special—the moment a cat who once had every reason to be afraid decides that you are her safe person.

Michelin survived outside.
She protected and raised her babies.
She watched every one of them find their happily ever after.
And now, she’s learning that maybe humans aren’t so scary after all.
It’s finally Michelin’s turn.

If you have a quiet home, a little patience, and room in your heart for a deserving mama who is already showing us just how beautifully she can blossom, Michelin may be waiting for you!!

Apply online at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption-application (say you saw the cat on Petfinder)

Your donation of $120 will contribute to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, testing, microchipping, deworming, and flea and ear mite treatments.

Adoption includes a free lifetime microchip registration!
