Miata (& Patsy)

Miata is a love muffin according to her foster mom. She absolutely knows her name and will respond to it when you speak it! This kitty loves her entire back rubbed, but when rubbing her chest, it sends her into some kind of kitty heaven. She will seek out her human deliberately to get this affection. She also loves the top of her head scratched (and kissed!!). This little girl has a purr strong enough to shake the paint off the walls!<br/><br/>She isn’t a lap cat yet, but she will get her fill and then leave and sit at your feet. Miata loves lying under the plants in her foster home’s sunroom; it has become her personal jungle.<br/><br/>She has also developed a love of the ceiling fan. Every time it is turned on, she just stares at it for the longest time, engaged and entertained. She loves playing with the laser pointer and will run herself exhausted playing with it.<br/><br/>Miata and her sister Patsy are smart cookies! With her sister, she has learned the word "cookie" (for treats) and will happily take their ration, then when their foster mom is done, she will rub her hands together and they know there aren't any more to be had.<br/><br/>They are incredibly bonded! They call to each other, won't eat unless they are both present (and won't eat from separate bowls), and follow each other around. While they still want their space, it isn’t for longer than a couple of hours. They are both eating like champs, playing like crazy, and doing really well<br/>with all things cat (scratchers, litter boxes, etc.). <br/><br/>We plan to place Miata and Patsy in a forever home together as they have bonded in foster care and both would benefit from having a companion and playmate.<br/><br/>If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215.
