Mia's Story

Hola, I'm Mia. I'm a shy little calico girl with soft colors like a sunset and a heart that's learning how to feel safe again. I had a dad who loved me very much, but he was deported, and everything changed for me after that. Since then, I've been a little quieter, a little more cautious--but still very full of love.

I move at my own pace and prefer calm homes, gentle voices, and people who understand that trust takes time. Once I know I'm safe, I'm incredibly sweet and affectionate in my own subtle way. I'm the kind of girl who will sit nearby first, then slowly scoot closer, until one day you realize I've chosen you.

I'd love a forever home where patience is given freely and love is unconditional--where I can heal, grow, and finally exhale. All I want is a family who will never give up on me and will treat me with the cariño I deserve.________________________________________________

If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.

**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved.
