Merlin's Story
Male | Shy, Gentle & Sweet

Merlin is a handsome young brown tabby with a beautiful green-gold eye and a very tender personality. He was found wandering the neighborhood as an injured stray and needed surgery to remove one eye. He also has a partially missing leg that has completely healed and requires no further treatment. Despite everything he has been through, Merlin is doing wonderfully.

Because he spent his early life as a stray, Merlin is still learning to trust people. His first instinct is often to run and hide, but when he feels safe, a completely different side of him appears. Approach him while he's relaxing and he happily soaks up gentle rubs and pets, rewarding you with the sweetest purrs. Every once in a while, he even works up the courage to seek out attention on his own-and we know those moments will become more frequent with time.

Merlin is fantastic with other cats and kittens and would likely benefit from having a friendly feline companion to help show him that home is a safe place.

Merlin doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him. He needs a patient, loving person willing to earn his trust and give him the time he deserves to blossom. We have a feeling that watching this special little guy learn to feel safe and loved will be an incredibly rewarding experience.
