Mercedes's Story

From wheel wells to warm laps, this little daredevil is ready to park herself in your heart! Mercedes is a gorgeous gray tabby kitten with a playful streak and a touch of mischief in her eyes. Her rescue story is as unique as her name. She was discovered in the wheel well of a car at a local police station! Thankfully, she was found before the vehicle moved and her days of risky adventures ended there. After her dramatic start, Mercedes spent time in one of our loving foster homes, where she was socialized, cared for and given the safety she desperately needed. She had to wait until she was old enough to be spayed, but now she's healthy, happy and officially ready for adoption! What makes Mercedes special? * She's playful, spunky and full of curiosity * She gets along well with other feline-friendly cats * She's affectionate and has a soft side once she trusts you * She does well with other cats She's left her daredevil days behind and is ready for a life of indoor comfort and love. Mercedes is looking for a home where she can trade in danger for snuggles, toys and sunny windowsills. If you're ready to offer her the safe and loving forever home she deserves, she's more than ready to meet you! The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Adopting an animal is an important decision that will affect you, your household, and the animal for many years to come. Our primary goal is to place animals in a loving and forever home. We strive for the best possible match between you and your new pet. If you do not find the right animal on your first visit to our shelter, please return another day when new animals will be available for adoption. We include as much information as we know about an animal on their information card. We are here to help make a wonderful new addition to your family. Adoption Requirements • Must be 18 years of age or older (seniors 65 and over qualify for the Seniors for Seniors program) • Must have valid ID with current address • Must provide landlord’s name and phone number (or copy of current lease) • All members of the household should be present • You must understand that Berea Animal Rescue must approve your adoption application If this is your first visit, please follow this link, bit.ly/ARFWaiver, to provide us with your household’s information and sign our Animal Contact Waiver. Fees The shelter accepts cash or Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. *If paying in cash, please understand that volunteers are unable to make change. CAT ADOPTION INFORMATION Senior cats (7 years and older): $65.00 Cats (7 months – 6 years) – $100.00 Kittens (less than 7 months) – $140.00 Special breed pricing — $200 Cardboard carriers available – $5.00 *Certain animals may carry fees that are higher or lower than indicated here based on special circumstances. Included in fee: Immunodeficiency Virus & Leukemia Test, Spay / Neuter, Basic Vaccination, Rabies Vaccination (as age appropriate), Worming, Microchip DOG ADOPTION INFORMATION Senior Dogs (over 25 lbs and 8 years and older) – $95.00 Adult Dogs (7 months to 8 years) – $175 Puppies (less than 7 months) – $275.00 Small Dogs (less than 25 lbs and less than 11 yrs) – $210.00 Small Senior Dogs (less than 25 lbs and older than 11 yrs) – $95.00 Purebred Dogs – $375.00 *Certain animals may carry fees that are higher or lower than indicated here based on special circumstances.
