Memphis's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Memphis wants to be a pet! He would do best in a quieter home, and we do our best for him, but rotating caretakers can be more stressful for sensitive animals. Memphis picks up on the energy and vibes of those around him. He would simply like a family with a more predictable routine. . . it’s not a lot to ask!

Memphis would need a slow transition to other pets like 99% of cats do, but he does well in our community room, and there are a lot of cats up there to get along with, and he has succeeded in that. As with humans, Memphis will pick up on energy and just wants to know what he’s dealing with.

Memphis must be provided with access to cardboard boxes!! These are his favorite thing. When he was in foster, he was constantly sitting in boxes, and this probably gives him a little extra peace! Cats feel secure in a box.

Memphis does test positive for FIV, which is a retrovirus that just means a lower than average immune system. This virus is passed only among cats and only through drastic action like deep bite wounds, which is probably why Memphis is a little more sensitive to his environment. Cats in stable indoor homes do not need to worry about spreading it, and FIV positive cats’ lifespans are typical on average. Memphis just needs standard, high-quality care. . . and lots of cardboard boxes!! Could you find a place in your home or recycling bin for Memphis?

Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!

If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.

We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes. For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.

Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.

All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:

Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus

Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age)

Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)

Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment

Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions

Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
