He was swept off the street in the nick of time with his buddy Sweetie (also up for adoption). Melvin is a great house guest but is still a bit weary of humans ~ he LOVES cats on the other hand and would be a great kitty companion, to his BFF Sweetie or any other cat! He has early onset kidney disease which just means that he needs a special diet and routine vet visits. He is slowly learning to trust humans but he prefers to watch from a distant, be in the same room with you, and send you sweet slow blinks while he rolls around with his favorite catnip toes or stares lovingly at his feline friends.
