Melly's Story

Melly may have gotten her name because she’s sweet as can be, but we think “Melly” is also short for “little melon.” She is delightfully round, perfectly black, and shaped a bit like a fruit with ears.

Fortunately, Melly’s personality is every bit as lovable as her rotund little silhouette. She is sweet, gentle, playful, outgoing, and just an all-around happy girl who seems to take life in stride.

Melly came to us after her person fell on hard times and she was left behind in an apartment. Despite having her whole world turned upside down, she adjusted remarkably fast to her foster home and wasted very little time making herself comfortable.

She loves people and does wonderfully with other cats, too. We think she’d make an especially lovely companion for a kitty who could use a friend. And when the early morning hours roll around, Melly likes to hop into bed for snuggles, because apparently a small round melon makes an excellent cuddle buddy.

At seven years old, Melly has that perfect grown-up-cat combination of playful and easygoing. She’s affectionate, adaptable, friendly, and ready to roll her round little self right into her forever home.

---

Submit an Adoption Application to be considered:
https://www.tailshigh.org/home/adoption-application/

Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved.
