WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Mel, a beautiful 3-year-old Calico who has come a long way since arriving at our shelter. Mel was brought to us by a Good Samaritan, and because we don’t know anything about her past, we can’t say what experiences may have made her so nervous when she first arrived. What we do know is that Mel has made an incredible transformation. In the beginning, she was understandably frightened and unsure of her new surroundings. But with patience, kindness, and time, she has slowly learned that she is safe. Now, Mel is much more relaxed, enjoys being petted, and has become a whole lot more chill. Our staff and volunteers tell us that Mel has truly blossomed into a little lover. She happily accepts treats and is showing us more and more of her sweet personality every day. Seeing her go from a nervous, uncertain kitty to a happy girl who enjoys affection has been pretty special. Mel just needs someone who will continue to give her the patience and love that helped her come out of her shell.
