Megaphone's Story
Say hello to Megaphone!
*She is bonded with her brother Davy Jones and applications will NOT be considered for them separately.*

Female I 5 Months I UTD Vaccines I Dewormed I Spayed I Microchipped I FeLV/FIV Negative I **Bonded Duo**

Megaphone came into our care with her brother Davy Jones, both as sickly neonates with congenital leg deformities. Megaphone is missing the paw of one of her rear legs and Davy has a literal "peg leg" with half of one of his back legs missing. Davy also received an enucleation of his right eye due to a corneal ulcer that ruptured. Both do great with their limb abnormalities and we anticipate them living very happy, normal kitten lives.

Personality wise these two are attached at the hip and about as social and sweet as kittens can come, truly. They have yet to meet an animal they don't get along with and would love to spend their entire day lounging in your lap.

Our ideal adoption scenario is with someone that wants them in their business 24/7 (kids would be fantastic). They also do great with their fosters 140lb mastiff.

They are currently on an extended quarantine and will be able to go home after September 23rd. If you'd like more photos and videos of them as kittens they can be seen on their fosters Instagram:
@deejandthecats
www.instagram.com/deejandthecats

***Interested in Adopting?***

Scroll down and click "Visit Our Profile Page" our application is under our Adoption Policies Section. Please complete the adoption application in full. PF Inquiries and Matches are not evaluated.

We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens are typically given higher priority. Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home.

What is Single Kitten Syndrome?

Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as:

Aggression or anxiety
Inappropriate chewing or scratching
Litter box avoidance
Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life

While not all single kittens experience these challenges, its a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there is already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
