Meerkat is a beautiful, energetic, playful catten who was trapped with her siblings while living outside and needed time to learn to trust people. She is loving the comforts of living inside and has impeccable litter box habits. She is SUPER shy/standoffish with new people and in new situations, and can even be “independent” around her foster family, but her confidence and socialization are growing daily. When she is comfortable and wants affection, Meerkat loves to be petted and is the ultimate lap cat who purrs like a lioness to show contentment. In addition to her gorgeous marble markings, she has the most adorable tufts of fur on the tips of her ears and the silkiest, softest fur.<br/><br/>Meerkat loves to play with toys and with her brother Moose, although her exposure to other cats has been limited. We think she would be compatible with another cat sibling after slow, proper introductions. She has had limited exposure to dogs in her foster home (because of the dogs) but seems to be curious about them and we think she would do well with a cat-friendly, mellow dog after slow and thoughtful introductions.
