Meelo's Story

Meelo was surrendered to the Sanctuary at Haafsville by his owner over a year ago. Until recently, Meelo was terrified and lashed out at the volunteers. He would not allow anyone to pet him. It took a long time, but Meelo began to trust the volunteers. He has become a member of the friendly cat club in his room at the shelter. Meelo now joins the volunteers and other cats for attention and snack time. He has really turned the corner and become a friendly and affectionate boy. Meelo is almost always cuddling next to a feline friend. Meelo is now a good boy who is ready to find his new forever home. Meelo is 4 years old. There are no known health concerns. Meelo is neutered, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped. Visit us at our Dog Adoption Center located at 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville 18031 PA Kennel License #8356 DOG Open Hours – Saturdays 10am – 2pm PLEASE NOTE: *Dog adoptions will not take place during this timeframe. Applications will only be taken. We do not pre-approve our dog applications. *Please keep your current dogs at home! *Please do your best to have ALL (human) members of the household present to meet the dogs. *You may experience long waits as we work with everyone…we are all volunteers and sometimes short staffed, so your patience is appreciated. *Please direct inquiries to dogadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org only if you cannot make it out on a Saturday.
