Maxwell's Story

Scared and all alone, Maxwell and his brother Lewis were rescued from a hollow tree trunk. Amazingly, they stuck together and survived rainstorms, heat and hunger before they were found and brought to WAAL. Although they have learned to trust people over time, Lewis and Maxwell still help each other feel safe and they will need to be adopted together. Maxwell especially relies on Lewis to feel comfortable. Maxwell and Lewis are searching for a kind, patient adopter who will give them time to feel comfortable in their new home. Adoption fees vary. All animals are sterilized, vaccinated, heartworm tested (dogs), FeLV tested (cats), microchipped, dewormed and have had monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention.
