Meet Maura

Make a reservation at Norfolk's Catnip Cat Cafe to visit Maura. It's a great place to meet kitties and see who you connect with! https://catnipcatcafe.com/reservations/

The first thing you'll notice about MAURA is that she is a beautiful grey and white tuxedo cat with green eyes.

The second thing you'll notice is that she wobbles when she walks. Maura has Cerebellum Hypoplasia (CH)* and the best part is that she has no idea she has a disability. She's a very confident kitty despite her struggles. She's very determined and will do what any other cat would - she might just be a little unsteady and flop over if she gets too excited. (But it's SO CUTE!!!)

Maura loves to be held and snuggled once she knows and trusts you. She loves being pet, and she's very playful. Maura loves to catch her little mouse "prey" toys — she's very proud of herself when she catches something (you'll enjoy watching her goofy pounce)!

How did Maura come to Feral Affairs Network (FAN)? She was cornered in a yard by a pack of dogs. As they were about to attack her, a Good Samaritan swooped in and grabbed her just in the nick of time. Maura was then adopted as an Emotional Support Animal. Sadly, through no fault of her own, Maura finds herself back in the loving arms of FAN. That is... until the next lucky person becomes her FOREVER person.

We're all so proud of how far this sweet girl has come and think she deserves the world. Like most cats she has to get to know you before she truly opens up, but it won't take long for her personality to shine through. She loves everyone!

* Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. It has been reported in many animal species. In cats, this condition is also called "Wobbly Cat Syndrome."

All our adoptable cats and kittens are:

— vaccinated (rabies & FVRCP)
