Matilda and Grapejuice's Story

Meet Matilda & Grapejuice 🍇🖤

DOB: 3/16/2026
Female kittens | Bonded pair

Matilda and Grapejuice are two incredibly sweet sisters looking for a home together. These girls are playful, affectionate, and the kind of kittens who will fill your home with purrs, zoomies, and endless love.

Both kittens will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. They will be ready to go home between 12-14 weeks. Their mother tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and both girls will be retested at the time of their spay surgeries.

Matilda is our special girl. Due to severe corneal scarring that has connected one eye to her eyelid, that eye will be removed during her spay surgery. She also has scarring on her remaining eye, though she still retains partial vision. Because of this, Matilda is considered special needs and may require periodic veterinary checkups throughout her life to monitor her remaining eye.

Despite everything, Matilda does not let her vision slow her down one bit. Once she learns her environment, she navigates beautifully and loves to play, cuddle, and explore just like any other kitten. For her comfort and confidence, her future home should keep food, litter boxes, and furniture placement relatively consistent.

Grapejuice is just as loving and playful as her sister and has been by Matilda’s side through it all. Their bond is truly special, and we are committed to finding them a family willing to love them together.

These girls may not have had the easiest start, but they have the biggest hearts and they are more than ready for a lifetime of love.

Despurate House Cats's Adoption Policy
The application process for adopting from our cat rescue includes several important steps: Application Form on Website: You must fill out an application form available on the rescue's website. This form will ask for your personal details, your home environment, and other relevant information about your lifestyle and preferences to help match you with a suitable cat. Vet Reference: You are required to provide a reference from your veterinarian. This helps the rescue ensure you have a history of responsible pet ownership and good veterinary care for your previous or current pets. Landlord Reference (if leasing): If you rent your home, you will need to provide a reference from your landlord. This confirms that you have permission to have a cat in your rental property and ensures that the living conditions are suitable for adopting a pet. Home Visit: As part of the adoption process, a home visit will be conducted. A representative from the rescue will visit your home to ensure it’s a safe and appropriate environment for a cat. This visit will also include meeting your current pets to assess if they will get along with the new cat. The rescue wants to ensure that the new addition to your family will be compatible with your existing pets and that everyone will feel comfortable and safe. Once all these steps are completed and reviewed, the rescue will make a decision about your application.
