Maths: Fibonacci (Fib) - part of bonded pair's Story

Meet Fibonacci, Fib for short! Fib is magnificent - she has a black & white coat with a gorgeous fluffy tail. The Fibonacci Sequence is often attributed to beauty in nature and you can certainly see Fib lives up to her name! She has the cutest nose spots and will show them off by tilting her head at a 90 degree angle when you talk to her, she's listening so hard. This beautiful mathematician is ready to solve her equation and derive her very own special forever family! Fibonacci and her sister, Hypotenuse, were picked up during a TNR (trap-neuter-return) effort and due to a lucky variance made their way into foster care. Fibonacci spent significant time calculating her feelings about humans and through these careful computations she's determined a set of rules, Fibonacci's Rules for Human Interactions, that she thinks everyone should learn. She thinks there's no need for strangers - she has to get to know you. But once she does, she loves playing with people, especially with a wand toy, enough to jump, chase, roll & bat the toy. She also thinks eating treats from hands is pretty awesome, she'll lick your fingers for those last few crumbs. If you ask nicely, at the right time, by offering a gentle hand for sniffing, Fib now not only allows petting but likes it! The return on investment with Fibonacci is infinite! She enjoys being around her foster family and will seek them out to observe what is going on, ask for treats or to play. Fibonacci loves hearing her name and will often respond to her foster family if they call for her! Fib chooses to sleep most nights at the foot of the bed with her foster parents and enjoys a few pets every morning when she wakes up. Through dedicated studying, Fib has deduced she can be more than a spirit cat, for the right family. Fib would like a quiet home, a forever family with older, respectful children or adults only who will understand the space and time she needs and love her just for that, even when you have to ask her for pets! Fib loves other cats but most especially her sister, Hypotenuse, they are the best of buddies, they play together, sleep together, groom each other and would love to go home together. Let's help Fib solve her equation and isolate her perfect forever family! As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive. They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc). Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog. Fib and Hyp will absolutely benefit the most by being together. While, it is always wonderful to adopt kittens in pairs, sometimes it is imperative that ones go together when they need each other for their own well-being, in order to feel safe or secure. Bonded kittens need this desperately, but they also teach each other about acceptable play and keep each other company so you don't have to worry about them being lonely.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.

Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue's Adoption Policy
The Foster Home Advantage: Because we are a 100% foster-based rescue, the kittens haven’t spent their youth stressed out in a shelter cage. We do not foster in cages. They are "home-tested!" So we already know their personalities, whether they love human company, respects a home routine, and spend a lot of time to make sure we are describing each carefully so that you know the type of kitty for which you are applying. Adoption Details: We work towards making the purrfect match for each kitty and each home. Because we prioritize their lifelong safety, our adoption process requires a live virtual safety walkthrough after our verifications and vet references. If you are an open-book adopter ready to welcome these precious kittens into your heart, apply to adopt today!
