Mater's Story

**Meet Mater!**

*"I knew you was gonna be my best friend."* — Mater, from *Cars*

And honestly, that quote couldn't describe this handsome boy any better.

Mater is a 6-month-old kitten with the gentlest heart and the sweetest soul you'll ever meet. From the moment he meets someone, he seems convinced that they're already friends. He has a quiet, loving nature and approaches life with kindness, trust, and a little bit of that lovable Mater charm.

Whether he's curling up beside you for a nap, following you around the house, or softly asking for affection, Mater's favorite thing in the world is simply being close to his people. He's the kind of kitten who makes a house feel like home.

Mater is looking for an extra-special family because he is FIV-positive. The good news is that FIV does **not** affect his day-to-day life, and he is a happy, healthy kitten with a bright future ahead of him. FIV-positive cats can live long, normal lives and make wonderful companions. What Mater needs most is a family who will look beyond a label and see the incredible cat he truly is.

If you're searching for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold, Mater may be waiting just for you. We have many cats and kittens available for adoption throughout the year. Our kittens are in foster homes during the week where they receive the love and attention they need to grow and thrive. All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas with advantage, spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive any other necessary treatment while in our program such as treatment for ear mites, respiratory infections, etc. Our tax-deductible adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care costs.
