Mateo was found in very bad shape under a car in a parking lot. He was extremely thin and had an upper respiratory infection. He has received a full mouth extraction/dental; neutered; vaccinated; and ready for a new family.<br/><br/>Mateo tested positive for FIV or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Don’t let that scare you. With proper nutrition and veterinary care, FIV positive cats live a long, healthy life like any normal cat. FIV is also very hard to transmit to other kitties and can only be passed through a deep bite wound. As long as the cats in the home get along, Mateo is totally fine to live with FIV negative cats! <br/><br/>He is a friendly and confident guy. He gets along with most cats but can sometimes be a little pushy. He will make a great companion in a home where he will get lots of attention. Since he has been at our office, he has really bonded with Little Gary - a gray and younger kitty. They do everything together and we feel very strongly and commited to adopting them together.<br/><br/>He is about 4 years old and has a very cute personality. He acts like he is so happy about everything, like a kid in a candy shop. He walks around the office like he's the mayor, greeting everyone. He is really cute when he plays by himself.<br/>He loves little Gary, who is a girl, and the two are often together cuddling and grooming each other.
