What is Friends of Homeless Animals’s adoption process?

There is an application that must be completed followed by a phone or in-person interview depending whether you apply on line or in person at an adoption event, and a verification process. If the application is on line and an appointment is going to be made to meet the kitty at a foster home, we will complete the verification process prior to your meeting the pet. If we meet at a public adoption event, you can meet the available pets but will not interact with them until the application has been completed. We require proof that you own your home, or a valid lease that indicates that pets are permitted, a valid NJ Drivers Licence and a piece of mail. We prefer a veterinary reference but will consider new adopters with good work and personal references. Thank you
