Meet Marmalade, a fluffy, adorable orange long haired fella who was living with lots of other cats and being fed by a caregiver who barely had food for himself. Marmalade and others have made their way to Second Chance for a stable, forever home.<br/><br/>Marmalade was born with a third eye that was too large and partially covering his left eye. With surgery, the eyelid is now normal and Marmalade no longer has obstructed vision. He has been the perfect patient while in his foster home.<br/><br/>Marmalade is playful, sweet, loves to be pet and immediately rolls over for belly rubs upon approach. He is gentle and calm and has been the best boy when receiving his topical eye medication. Marmalade is fluffy and soft and just plain irresistible. If this type of kitten is your jam, then Marmalade is for you!<br/><br/>If you would like to meet this little cuddly cutie, once you have an approved application a visit can be arranged at his foster home.<br/><br/>For the safety of our kittens and for children, we do not adopt kittens under six months old to a home with children under the age of 6.<br/><br/>We believe that kittens are happiest when they have a feline friend so Marmalade will need to be adopted with another kitten here or go to a home with an existing, playful cat.<br/><br/>Marmalade has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Marmalade has an approximate birthdate of 06/23/2025. His adoption fee is $120. <br/><br/>If you are interested in Marmalade or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.<br/><br/>Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
