Marley's Story

Hi, my name is Marley. I was surrendered to the shelter on 3/26/26 with my sister Lucy. I am 6 years old. I’ve spent my whole life in a home I was very uncomfortable in. The house was very big and had a large dog that I was very scared of, so I spent almost all of my time hiding in the basement. My dream home would be a smaller quiet home with no big animals, but I would be okay having another kitty in the house for me to play with. I am very affectionate when I get comfortable with you, and when I’m in an environment that I’m comfortable in as well. I do very well with kids of all ages as I previously lived with them. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
