Mark (bonded with Saku)'s Story
Meet quite possibly two of the most gorgeous and elegant kittens we've ever had come through Fur Keeps. Saku and Mark are seven-month-old brothers who came to us from a downstate facility where they had no chance at the kind of loving home we know you can offer.

Saku (the seal point) is the slightly more outgoing of the two, but Mark (the flame point) doesn't let anyone get between him and the attention he knows he deserves. They are both purr-boxes who love to have their pets and attention and are learning that getting brushed (because they are long hairs - this is important!) is almost as lovely as chin scratches.

The boys both love to play, with Mark especially adept at finding the cat toys hidden around his foster mom's house. They both think the laser pointer is the coolest thing ever, but Saku often...loses it. The elevator doesn't quite go all the way to the top with that one, but he's sweet as pie.

These two hadn't been socialized much before they arrived at their foster home, so they were initially very shy and unsure what a hand approaching them meant, but they quickly warmed up, especially once they realized that hand often had treats for them and that petting feels good! They're still a little skittish if you move to fast, but they are very very quickly become lovebugs who want attention at all times - and they now meow to demand it.

We would love to see them go home together, as they rely on each other for confidence. If they are adopted separately, they must be adopted into a home with another young cat present.

Because they are still learning to trust everyone, we are looking for a home without small children. They do well with other cats and have been exposed to dogs at the vet's office and didn't seem too bothered by them, so they may fit well with a home that includes well-mannered dogs.

Mark is up to date with routine shots, litter box trained, altered and micro chipped.
For more information, please call or text 630-207-1238
