Mario & Luigi's Story

Mario is wise beyond his years. When I first started fostering him he was cautious but also brave. He needed to trust me before he would let me hear those purrs. But since he realized that I am the lady with food and the pets, he never stops purring. He fell in love with my dog immediately. He is respectful of boundaries that others set. His sister is not a big fan of him and he is okay with that. He doesn't push it. He tolerates how loud and erratic my daughter's movements can be. He does like to be picked up and lick the tip of your nose. One cute thing about him is that he likes to climb to the very, very top of a very very large cat tower and sleep in a hammock. Be prepared to buy something very tall. Mario loves to climb. He also loves a feather toy. He will play tug like a dog with you. He is also highly food motivated. I can't say enough great things about this kitten.

Luigi was a race car driver in another life. He only ever stops to refuel. He is an extremely active kitten. He never walks anywhere, it is always full speed sprinting. He loves food. He eats as fast as he runs. And while he is doing all of this he is purring and coming to you for pit stops of being pet and loved. He doesn't love to be pick up yet, but that can change over time. Luigi loves dogs and his brother, Mario. With kids he can be a little bit on the rough side with doing normal kitten stuff but still littles might not understand. One of the coolest things about him is he PLAYS FETCH! Luigi and Mario are best buds and is his playmate for all of his high energy. He is extremely interested in other cats and does have manners when meeting them. He loves to play with my dog but can be rough (biting her butt), so a cat savy dog is necessary. He will not sleep alone, if his brother isn't available he must be touching me or my dog. He is very quiet and very clean. He is so sweet and makes me laugh most of the day with his kitten energy.

Mario and Luigi are a bonded pair. They need one another. Mario and Luigi have a special way of playing together and keeping each other busy while figuring out this cat life thing. They are always touching and sleeping together. You will get such great kitten energy from them and no chance of single kitten syndrome.

DOB 6/20/2026

If you're interested in Mario & Luigi, we ask that you please fill out a "pre-adopt application" that can be found on our website: https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application.
