Mario's Story
Mario, DSH, 5 years old

Mario came to us from a property that had too many outside cats. He was neutered by us and we released him to a partnering shelter that had more capacity to accept cats. Unfortunately, he wasn't doing well in the shelter environment so we accepted him back into our foster program.

Since he's been with us, he is slowly learning to trust us and we can now pet him even if for a short moment before he lets us know he's had enough. However, he came from the same location with his sister Peanut, who was adopted last year. When we took in Peanut, she also wasn't fond of human interaction but now she has really blossomed in her forever home and is quite the social butterfly.

We believe with time, Mario may come around and learn to trust humans. In the meantime, he's at our office with the other foster cats. He stays to himself since his sister was adopted. He does well with cats and may be ok around a calm dog..

Adult home only is preferable.

If interested, please email Mirna at Mirnabowman.cdc@gmail.com
614-471-9000
Must be 24 yrs old or older to adopt.
Adoptions to Central Ohio homes only.
All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered.
Adoption Fee $100
