Marigold's Story

Hi, my name is Marigold! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Affectionate, curious, easily overstimulated
-Can Live with Cats: Marigold has never lived with another cat. She would likely prefer to remain an only cat.
-Can Live with Dogs: Marigold has never lived with a dog. Most dogs would likely be too overwhelming for her.
-Can Live with Kids: Marigold has a bite history and will need to go to an adults-only household.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Highly encouraged.
-History of Litter Box Issues: None
-Energy Level: Moderate
-Bite History: Marigold was surrendered for becoming aggressive and biting frequently in her previous home. It appears that this was triggered by the new baby in the home, and she has not behaved aggressively since arriving at the shelter.
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!
Additional Information:
Meet Marigold, an active and social adult cat who is looking for her forever home. She loves to explore new places and to lay on laps and receive pets. Marigold was surrendered to the shelter from a household that was causing her a lot of stress, which resulted in her getting a bite history. She would do best in a quiet, low traffic household where she can relax and become a loving companion. If you think Marigold is the cat for you, adopt today!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
