Hi! I am Marie, a domestic shorthaired cat with beautiful calico and tabby markings. I am a shy and reserved cat yet I am mildly curious of the world around me. I don't like a lot of activity and I am scared of new folks and new surroundings. I do love the warmth of the sun, my fellow kitty friends and kitty food & treats. I will come running when I hear the food hit the bowl and I will line up for treats. I came to the shelter with my sisters and brothers - all 5 of us - and 3 have found homes however me and my sister remain. Hopefully someone will love me too and give me a home. <br/><br/>I am spayed, and I am up to date on my vaccines - distemper and rabies. I have been FIV/Feline Leukemia tested and I am negative for both. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning.<br/><br/>My ideal home includes a quiet and calm home. I tolerate other kitties without issue. I like to be by my other kitty friends. I do not know how I would do with dogs. I would do best in a home with kids who understand boundaries. A home with lots of activity may scare me. I am shy at first and may run away. I am just scared but treats help me a lot with coming out of my shell. I love wet food - and will come where there is wet food. <br/><br/>I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. Once I warm up, I enjoy being pet and loved on. I also like to be in front of a window catching warm sun rays & watching the world go by. I also like hidey holes and little areas where I can quietly observe. <br/><br/>My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family.
