Maria (3 years old)'s Story

Maria came to ECCP after a good Samaritan rescued her in the dead of winter — pregnant and trying to survive outside. She was brought safely indoors, had her babies, and then Maria and her kittens were surrendered to us.

Her babies have all been adopted, and now it’s Maria’s turn.

Maria has been fully vetted. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and snap tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

She is a very sweet girl who would do best in a quiet, less busy home. Because Maria spent time outside fending for herself, and because we have not seen her around other animals, we believe she would do best as the only pet. Some cats are happiest being the queen of their own castle, and we want to set Maria up for success — not risk her being returned.

Maria would do best with children over 10, no other pets, and a calm home where she can feel safe, loved, and settled.

If you’re interested in adopting Maria, please fill out an application on our website.

https://www.enfieldcommunitycatproject.com/
