Mara's Story

Hi! My name is Mara, and I'm a lovely buff and white girl with a gentle heart and a sweet disposition.

I can be a little shy when I first arrive somewhere new, but with a little patience and kindness, I quickly begin to feel at home. Once I'm comfortable, you'll discover that I'm an affectionate, friendly companion who simply enjoys being loved. I'm a very easygoing cat who is perfectly content spending my days lounging in a sunny spot, watching the world go by, and appreciating the comfort of a safe home.

I've been in foster care for the past three months, where I've become very comfortable around people. During that time, I helped co-parent a litter of five kittens alongside another wonderful momma cat. Caring for the kittens showed my nurturing side and proved just how loving and devoted I can be.

I grew up in a home with more than 40 other cats, so having feline companions around feels natural to me. I especially adore my friend, Keera, and we would love to find a forever home together. If that isn't possible, I will definitely need another friendly cat companion in my new home to help me feel secure and happy.

I haven't had experience with young children, so I would probably do best in a quieter home with older children or adults who understand that I may need a little time to adjust. Once I settle in, I'm a wonderfully sweet companion who asks for very little beyond love, patience, and a cozy place to call my own.

My life began in difficult circumstances. I was rescued from a hoarding situation where more than 40 cats were living in heartbreaking conditions. Despite my rough start, I've remained incredibly gentle and trusting. Now I'm ready to leave my past behind and find a forever family that will cherish me for the wonderful cat I am.

Could you be the one to give me the peaceful, loving home I've been waiting for?

The fee is each for a bonded pair with Keera, total $300. They are both at Blaine Petsmart.
