Maple's Story
Maple and her sisters were living large on the streets. I believe they were handled and loved as baby kittens and then discarded.
Maple is affectionate and outgoing but still a little cautious. She likes to be held and loved but does give the occasional love bite. She is not happy about how much attention her sister Hazel gets and can be cranky with her. She would do well as an only kitty or with another who is not so obnoxious. She can be cautious. Big noises, sudden moves can cause some anxiety.
Luckily Maple and her sisters are VERY food motivated. This is how they were finally caught by a wonderful person in the neighborhood who couldn't stand to see more homeless kittens.
Maple has been exposed to our dogs and is not interested but doesn't care for too much attention from them.
Maple is not a cat for children. If she feels too much pressure, she can reach out and scratch. I believe she will get better as life goes on.
Mpale has been living out in the big house for several weeks now and still retreats to the comfort of the bathroom. A nice safe space for her to call her own will be helpful with her introduction to a new home.
