Manicotti's Story
Manicotti lives up to his name because he takes a little while to warm up, and once given that time to bake, is an amazing addition to someone's life. He allows his favorite caretakers to hold him (though, candidly, he's not exactly happy about it) and will gladly receive pets from them.
The key to this gentleman's heart? Food (he didn't get that big by looking at it), an enclosed catio (our catio seems to be his favorite place), and a steady home (his previous owner did not sound like a good person, and we believe that's part of why he takes a while to warm up to people).
Because he can be stressed when first meeting people, we'd recommend he not go to a home with small children. We'd also recommend no other cats since he growls & hisses at other kitties he comes into contact with, and we really don't want to further his stress levels. He does seem okay with dogs (he doesn't bat an eye when they walk by him in the catio), so he may do okay in a dog household.
If interested in meeting this handsome man, please stop by the shelter with all human family members. Thank you! Primary Color: Orange Classic Tabby Weight: 14.72lbs Age: 5yrs 0mths 4wks Animal has been Neutered
