If you sit with Mamie for a while, you might notice her breathing quickly and shallowly as she takes a rest. That's because Mamie is actually one of HTAT's Heart Cats. She was born with a few structural quirks in her heart, meaning it has to work a little harder than most. Not only that, but Mamie has a heart murmur that measures 5 out of 6, just one step below the highest grade. There's a reason she's so little!<br/><br/>But here's the great part: with just a couple of tiny pills each day and a quick squirt of oral medication, Mamie can enjoy a happy, love-filled life.
