Mama Maki

Meet Maki! Survivor. Lap-lover. Constant Cuddler. Fighter. Beauty.

Maki is all of these things and so much more. Named after the fierce Maki from Jujutsu Kaisen, she beat the odds and proved herself to be pure resilience in a soft, sleek fur coat. Her story started out tough, but this is the final chapter—the one where she gets her happily-ever-after!

Her Exceptional Resume:
• A Total Stunning Beauty: A gorgeous, sleek black coat with a hidden, rich brown undercoat coming in. She looks deliciously adorable!
• The Ultimate Lap-Lover: Ready to settle into your lap at a moment's notice for a deep cuddle and a loud purr.
• Affection in Spades: She lives to give love back to her humans and will fiercely bond with her person.
• The Star of the Show: Maki prefers to be an only cat. She wants to be the absolute center of your world, and in return, you will be the center of hers!

Her Journey (The Miracle Part):
Maki came to us under the toughest circumstances: she was surrendered to a clinic in late-stage pregnancy, terribly underweight, and missing patches of fur. Heartbreakingly, after giving birth, she tested positive for panleukopenia.

Our rescue team and amazing vets threw everything we had at fighting it. Maki spent days in 24/7 isolation, followed by six weeks of strict, intensive quarantine in her foster home. Through every single day of treatment, all this sweet girl wanted was to be held. And against the odds... she won.

What This Means For You:
Maki has been fully, officially cleared by her veterinary team!
• Zero Medical Risk: Panleuk survivors who finish treatment and quarantine are completely virus-free. They are not contagious and do not shed the virus.
• Lifelong Immunity: Unlike some feline viruses, panleuk does not stay in their system. Maki now carries strong, lifelong immunity to it!
• You are not adopting a project or a medical risk. You are adopting a literal miracle.

Medical & Foster Care:
Maki has been lovingly home-tested in a foster home—never a shelter cage. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She even comes with a Royal Canin starter kit and her complete veterinary records.

What Maki wants most is her very own forever lap. Could her happily-ever-after be with you?

To see her full, inspiring journey from day one to total health, check out her dedicated photo album on our Facebook page: "Sushi Rolls"!
