Malia's Story

Looking for a chatty friend to fill the silence? Malia is a very vocal girl! She hangs out high up and talks away. She was rescued with several other cats living outside.

But Malia almost didn’t make it and gave us a huge scare. She had a complication and started bleeding out after her spay appointment. She needed emergency vet care and volunteers stayed with her all night to observe her. We are so happy to say that she made a full recovery.

She’s under a year old with a lot of life to live. Malia sits on top of the cages, often alone, meowing to get attention from humans. She likes pets, but sometimes gets nervous and backs away. Malia needs someone with patience to help her feel safe.

She has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.

Email us at info@cnysnap.org or visit the shelter if you'd like to meet her.

Link to hours of when to visit cats at our Cortland shelter:
https://cnysnap.org/#hours
