Major Tom's Story

Meet Major Tom!

Major Tom Moon was first spotted hanging around a local tire shop, looking for food, comfort, and—most of all—attention. His foster mom began feeding him and noticed right away that this sweet boy loved pets and scritches and seemed nervous about all the noise and chaos of outdoor life. It became clear he didn’t belong outside and had likely been someone's pet at one time. When no one came forward to claim him, she knew it was time to bring him home to safety.

Major Tom is around 2 years old and is as loving and mellow as they come. He gets along well with the other cats in his foster home and does well with the dogs, too. He seems grateful to be inside where it’s warm, quiet, and safe, and he would do perfectly well as an indoor-only companion. He’s still settling into his new routine, but every day his confidence grows a little more.

This handsome grey boy deserves the peaceful, cared-for life he's always wanted. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will be your steady friend, Major Tom may be your perfect match.

Major Tom is around 2 years old. He has been neutered and vaccinated.

The adoption fee is $80

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.

For additional information on our group and what we do, please check out our website: www.pawsitivity.info

Pawsitivity's Adoption Policy
Adopter understands that kittens/cats available for adoption have been rescued from a variety of situations, including neglect/abuse, as such could be subject to health or behavioral problems not known at this time. Adopter agrees and accepts the kitten/cat with this understanding. The kittens/cats are healthy and up to date on all vaccines and medical treatments which were necessary for the health of the kitten/cat. Rescuer/foster makes no further guarantees or warranties of any kind for health of the kitten/cat and that the adopter assumes all risks at/from the time of initial possession and following. Adopter understands full responsibility for the health and welfare of the adopted kitten/cat for the duration of the natural life. The responsibility includes all costs for veterinary and health needs, housing and shelter, food and any other expenses related to care and welfare. Adopter agrees to contact a veterinarian to follow up vaccines, if needed. Adopter understands that declawing cats is a cruel procedure and will not do that to the adopted kitten/cat. Adopter agrees to pay the adoption fee/donation. We do not have an adoption application, but we do want to speak to the potential adopter and ask a few questions in order to make sure we find the right fit for our cats/kittens.
