Magic's Story
Magic got his name because he truly needed a little magic when he came to us.

For a long time, Magic was a maintained stray--living outdoors while someone kindly made sure he had food. While his belly was kept full, he never received medical care and never knew the comfort of being inside a home. Then one day, Magic appeared with a large, serious wound on his neck. That was the moment it became clear he deserved better.

The caretakers reached out to Pixel in Maine, asking if we could help. One look at this sweet boy was all it took for us to say yes.

Magic's neck wound required surgery, and during the procedure, live maggots were discovered in the wound. Thanks to veterinary care, his injury has fully healed. After completing a mandatory quarantine related to his wound, Magic is now healthy, comfortable, and finally ready to find his people--and never have to live outside again.

Magic lives peacefully with other cats and dogs and enjoys a quiet place to curl up. He's happiest with a cozy spot to nap and a tasty bowl of snacks to peruse.

During his vetting, it was discovered that Magic is FIV-positive, but that diagnosis has not slowed him down in his foster home. Magic is a wonderful example of how FIV-positive cats are just as deserving of forever homes and can live happily alongside cats who don't share the same diagnosis.

If you have questions about FIV, or if you think Magic might be the perfect fit for your home, please reach out. He's been waiting far too long to find the people he's meant to call family.
Please note: We only accept adoption applications through our website or in person (Facebook and Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications).
