This special girl is a charming, cuddle addict with a sweet disposition and the softest fur. She seeks out scritches, pets and loving pats from any humans around and enjoys a little lap time.<br/><br/>Throughout the day, Maeve will constantly swing by to say hello and see how you are doing. Whether you are watching a show, working at your desk, or taking a nap, you can count on Maeve to curl up right beside you for company. She will patiently wait each morning for you to wake up and then will happily greet you with soft meows and biscuits.<br/><br/>Maeve enjoys playing with wand toys and cat plushies that she can toss around and kick. She also enjoys chasing and playing with the other cat in her foster home. We think Maeve’s preference would be to have another cat in her forever home. She enjoys the cat in her current foster home. They play together and enjoy hanging out and the foster has commented on what a considerate kitty she is - she is laid-back and doesn't get jealous of the other kitty at all.<br/><br/>Sweet Maeve is FIV+ and has only one kidney, but neither condition affects her day-to-day quality of life or requires any special medical care. She is thriving and expected to continue living a normal, comfortable life.<br/><br/>Her only routine need is 1/4 teaspoon of Miralax mixed into her food once daily to help keep her bowels regular—she takes it like a champ! Other than that, Maeve is a low-maintenance companion who is ready to bring love, fun, and affection to her forever home.<br/><br/>The FIV virus is not a reason not to adopt! It is not transmissible to people or to non-cat<br/><br/>species and is not a death sentence.<br/><br/>It simply reduces a cat's immune system as the cat<br/><br/>ages, which can leave the cat more vulnerable to other feline infections later in life.<br/><br/>Cat to cat transmission does not occur with casual contact and it is not airborne.<br/><br/>Cats who are FIV+ live long, happy lives!
