Madman's Story
Hi, I'm Madman! Yeah, I know - dramatic name. In my defense, I've had a pretty dramatic year!

Not too long ago, I had a home. Then somehow I ended up outside, left to figure things out on my own for about six months. By the time I came to the shelter, I was scared, defensive, and acting more like a feral cat than a pet. Honestly, I wasn't sure if people could be trusted anymore. But once I had time to decompress and realize I was safe, the real me started coming back.

Turns out I remember the good life very well. Soft beds? Love them. Regular meals? Huge fan. People who speak kindly to me? I will answer back immediately, because I am a very chatty guy once I'm comfortable. I've also rediscovered my passion for making biscuits nonstop, rolling around dramatically for attention, showing off my belly, and purring loud enough to make up for lost time.

I'm still the kind of cat who needs a little patience in the beginning while I settle in, but underneath all that survival mode is a cat who truly wants to be loved again. I didn't forget how to be a house cat. I just needed someone to remind me that I was allowed to be one.
