Macy Gray's Story

Hi, I'm Macy Gray. Around here I've also been called the Zombie Kitten Queen, and honestly, I've decided I'm fine with it.

I'm almost three years old now, and I've already lived through some things people usually don't expect from a kitten. I went in for a routine spay and my heart stopped on the table. The vet team brought me back, and I guess I've been doing my best impression of "unbothered and thriving" ever since.

I'm visually impaired, possibly fully blind, but I don't really treat that like a limitation. I move fast, I explore everything, and I have very strong opinions about when it's snack time. I also have a wheel I love more than most things in the world. I run on it, I talk about it, and yes, I would prefer it come with me to my next home.

Food is a serious subject for me. Wet food, dry food, anything remotely edible, I'm interested. I keep a busy schedule of running, eating, and announcing my needs loudly and confidently.

Litter box habits are still a work in progress for me, so I use washable pads in my favorite spots that are primarily by my wheel. I just need someone patient who understands that I'm still learning how to do things my way in a safe space. I enjoy smelling the breeze from outside, maybe I'd love a catio?

I'm energetic, chatty, and a little dramatic in the best way. I like toys sometimes, catnip occasionally, but my wheel is really my whole personality.

I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for someone who can see me clearly for what I am already: fast, funny, a little chaotic, and very committed to living life fully.

If you've got space for a cat who refuses to be ordinary, I'm ready when you are.To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions

San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Although our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. In order to better manage the feral cat population, friendly cats and kittens are removed from the streets, placed with fosters, and spay/neutered before placing them up for adoption. Young kittens born to feral cats are ideally left with their mom until they are ready for weaning. They are then placed in a foster home, socialized, and spayed/neutered prior to being put up for adoption. Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.
