Macy

Hi there, I’m Macy—a sweet and fluffy longhaired tabby who’s just a little over a year old. I’m currently staying at Animal Rescue Foundation in Terryville, CT, waiting to find my forever home.

I came to ARF with my six siblings from a tough hoarding situation, so it takes me a little time to feel safe and open up. I love to cuddle up in my cozy bed, where I can stay warm and nap the day away. But don’t let my shy side fool you—once I trust you, I’ll come right up to you, gently rub my head on your hand, and ask for some loving pets.

I also enjoy playing when the mood strikes, especially with toys and squeeze-ups as treats! I’m great at sharing and taking turns with my sisters during playtime, but I also really cherish my quiet time. I’d do well in a home with other friendly cats or as the only kitty soaking up all your love and attention.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, gentle companion to snuggle with and keep you warm, I might just be the perfect match for you. Send in an application today—I can’t wait to meet you! 💕

Some very important things you should know when applying:

Adoption fees for adult cats are $250 ($265 if microchipped by us).

What our adoption fees include:

Adult cats have received a wellness exam, fecal exams to test for intestinal parasites, treated for any known/existing conditions to bring them back to health, SNAP tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), and Heartworm. They have also received flea/tick preventative, have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on both their distemper and rabies vaccinations.

For all applicants:
Please note that our organization’s long-time policy is that we do not adopt out our animals to households with children aged six or younger- we just don’t know how our individual animals will react around young children who are still learning what it means to respect an animals’ boundaries. We also do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. Please expect to have at least 2 visits as part of the adoption process at our shelter- it’s important to us that we are properly matching animals to adopters and preparing our adopters for their special adoption day.

Please double check your application for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting it to us. Please be as thorough as possible when answering application questions as the more you elaborate, the more information we have to consider, the more likely we are to have a full picture of the care, support, and love our cats/kittens will receive for their adopted lifetime and your particular application will be at the top of our mind when placing cats/kittens in their chosen forever homes. You can complete an application at ARFCT.org and submit it to our email at arfct.adoptions@gmail.com for consideration. Thank you!
