Sadly, that promise was broken.<br/><br/>On 4/11, E Rescue Houston received a call from the Houston SPCA—both Cookie and Macaroon had been surrendered by their adopter. We all know how dangerous shelter environments can be for owner surrenders, but thankfully their microchips helped lead them back to safety. A dedicated volunteer rushed to bring them back into rescue care.<br/><br/>Cookie has since found her new forever home... but Macaroon is still waiting. <br/><br/>Macaroon is a sweet, gentle girl who has every reason to be a little confused after everything she has been through. Abandoned not once, but twice in her young life, she just needs someone willing to show her that she is finally safe.<br/><br/>She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, her loving personality shines. Macaroon would do best as an only cat or in a home with one friendly, gentle kitty.<br/><br/>This beautiful girl has been through enough.
