Macaroon's Story

Macaroon is a beautiful young tabby girl that was left in a crate with 4 other cats the same age (under a year old ) at our front door. Macaroon has now been with us for over a year, she is about 2.5 yrs old. <br/><br/>Macaroon is very cute. She’s tall and slender and loves to chat. She’s friendly and seems to adjust easily. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, fiv/leuk tested, and dewormed.<br/><br/>Macaroon is now in foster care and doing great. This is what her foster family had to say about her:<br/><br/>"This girl came to us after living with the office cats at CDC for over a year. She was being picked on by some of the other more domineering feline friends and couldn't express her true self. She has melted into a life of lazy royalness on her bed bunk perch. She loves to watch nature from the top of the cat tower or have a nice 2am conversation. She loves her food and may need to go on a royal diet once she finds her forever home. She has done well with our easy going adult cat, but doesn't seem to appreciate our attention being shared with the foster kittens. She enjoys snuggles at night, or during sickness naps during the day. We can't wait for her to find her new kingdom to rule like the Queen she is. <br/><br/>She is a sweet girl, and just needs a chance. <br/><br/>If interested, please email Mirna at Mirnabowman.cdc@gmail.com<br/>614-471-9000<br/>Must be 24 or older.<br/>Adoptions to Central Ohio homes only. <br/>All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered.<br/>Adoption Fee $100.00

Columbus Dog Connection's Adoption Policy
Requirements for Adoption: Must live in the Central Ohio area. For rescues/shelters across Ohio, visit: ColumbusDogConnection.com/RescuesShelters.html Must be over the age of 24 to adopt. Your resident pets must be spayed/neutered. Adoption Process: We do not have an application. Adoptions are pet-adopter driven. To meet our pets: Call our office at 614-471-9000 or click on the pet which you are interested in and send email. We are happy to discuss the adoption process. The foster dogs are in foster homes and most of the cats reside at our office. The adoption process includes a lease manager reference (if applicable) , a veterinarian reference, and a home-visit (in-person or virtual). If you've never owned a pet, part of our adoption process requires that you call several vet offices to compare services, prices, and availability. Questions to ask include: How many doctors are at your practice? Can I request to see a specific Vet or would I be scheduled with first available? What are your hours? How much is: annual exam, heartworm test & tablets, an x-ray, vaccines, a non-emergency office call? Do you recommend vaccines every year or every three years? (every 3 yrs as suggested by the AVMA) The pooch that visits your home will go back home with us to allow your family to discuss and ensure he/she is a good fit for your home. There is an adoption agreement and adoption fees are as follows: $300 for Adult Dogs (6yrs & younger) $200 for Senior Dogs (7 yrs and older) $80 for Cats All pets are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested (dogs), fiv/leukemia tested (cats), & micro-chipped. Known medical conditions are discussed at time of inquiry.
