Mac & Cheese's Story

Meet Mac & Cheese: World's Worst Interviewer. World's Best Roommate.

Let's just get this out of the way...

If you meet me at an adoption event, you're probably going to think, "Wow...that little guy has some strong opinions."

And you'd be right.

I don't like crowds. I don't like strangers. I don't like loud noises. I don't like being poked at by fifty people in a row. In fact, at adoption events I transform into what my foster family lovingly calls a feral honey badger. Customer service is simply not one of my strengths.

But here's the thing...

That isn't who I am.

Take me home, give me a little time to realize I'm safe, and you'll meet the real Mac & Cheese—a sweet, gentle little guy whose favorite hobbies include napping on the back of the couch, turning your house into his personal jungle gym, and melting into bedtime cuddles. When I was a tiny kitten, I loved riding around in the front pocket of my foster family's hoodie, and honestly? I'd still accept chauffeur service if you're offering.

I'm a pretty independent dude. I enjoy hanging out with my people and playing with the other cats, but I also appreciate a good solo nap. Think of me as the perfect balance of affectionate and low-maintenance.

Kids? Love 'em. Friendly cats? Great! Cat-friendly dogs? No problem! Once I know I'm safe, I'm an easygoing, happy boy.

So if you come meet me and I act like I'm auditioning for the role of "Tiny Angry Forest Goblin," please don't take it personally. I'm just really, really bad at first impressions.

Give me a chance to skip the interview and go straight to moving in.

I promise the sweetest part of Mac & Cheese isn't the name—it's me.
