Mac's Story

Mac is an extremely sweet, shy, low key gentleman looking for a quiet loving home.
Mac likes to have a hiding spot-a covered bed or cat tunnel where he can lounge and feel safe while initially getting adjusted to his new space. However, don't let his reserved nature fool you-reach into his hiding spot and give him a few gentle pets, and you'll immediately hear Mac purr with joy! Within a few minutes of patient introductions, Mac will happily come out of his shell and soak up all the affection you have to give!

Mac LOVES being brushed. He also enjoys cat nip, but in his typical calm, quiet fashion-he really likes to eat it like a treat but doesn't get super crazy like some kitties. He hasn't shown a ton of interest in wand toys or laser pointers yet, but I have a feeling that the hustle and bustle of the cat room is a bit too much for him, and he may have a more playful side once he's in a calmer environment. Or perhaps he is just a couch potato who likes to nap and be petted!

Mac is approximately 2 1/2 years old. He's well behaved around other cats, but some of the "bigger personalities" in the room will pick on him sometimes. He would probably do well with other calm/shy cats, or as an only cat. We haven't seen him interact with dogs or small children yet, but based on his overall vibe I think he needs a calm environment to live his best life.

Mac is up-to-date on vaccines, exams, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), flea treated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Our vet has noted that he has some minor dental issues that need to be monitored over time, but he is otherwise in great health.

Apply to adopt! Information located at animaladvocates.net
